Wiki-permission

Hi!

I don't know, who I could disturb with a certain problem. I got a permission e-mail from an actress and I sent it to permissions-commons-at-wikimedia.org. When will I get a reply for that, don't you know? And in that letter was only some lines, that I could use her pictures on the wikipedia, not that kind of officila letter, that there is on the Commons page shown what to do. What do you think, was that all right then? I would like to use her pictures, and I got the permission from her, so I sent the original letter to the upper e-mail to Commons. who could something do with that? --Eino81 (talk) 08:22, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Are you talking about a picture you've uploaded, or a picture that had been sent to you? If you're referring to File:Kim Saigh.jpg, you need to get the copyright owner's permission. As far as I know, the best way to get permission is by using one of those Email templates. Pay attention that you can upload to commons only free picture. Best way would be if you'd take a picture of the actress, or you'd ask someone to take a daily picture of her. --Yuval Y § Chat § 14:39, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

No, this picture is not uploaded yet :) Firstly I wanted to get a permission stamp or whtaever from the Commons. I did not do this way earlier, so I don't know, how it works. I'm sorry but it'll be difficult for me to explain you the point. I'll try. This image is coming from the website of the producer of the concerned french humorist. The man himself told me that these photographs were available for journalists and that I could take one for WP without any problem (although I've explained him, as I could, the consequencies of CC-by-SA, id est commercial use, sharealike and so on). Thanks again. Unfortunatly, I'm afraid I will not obtain this form from him. It seems not to be important at all for him. On the other hand, as he's only the subject of the photograph, I guess the permission should be obtained from the photographer too ! Really too complex. I'm quite sorry for all this mess. Please check images with hebrew description

Hi, can you please take a look at: File:בית הכנסת החרב.jpeg, File:פנים בית הכנסת אוהל יעקב8.1938 .jpg and File:יום כיפור שנת תרסט.jpg. Some may be old enough for their copyright to expire, but I would like you to check the licenses out. I'm pretty sure, the given licenses are faulty, which would be unfortunate. וואלה יופי, כרגע שמתי לב שאתה ישראלי, ואני עוד משתדל לכתוב באנגלית יפה... =) הצצתי במספר ויקיפדיות, בסיועה האדיב של adblock לבית פיירפוקס, ושם נראה שהוויקיעברית היא בין הבודדות (או שמא היחידה?) שבה הלוגו של הוויקיפדיה נשמר לוקאלית, כאשר בשאר הוויקיפדיות הלוגו מועלה לקומונז, ושם הוא חסום לעריכה. בוויקיאנגלית אפילו לא טרחו לשים תבנית שהלוגו מוגן לעריכה על ידי אדמינים בלבד (ראיתי זאת בוודאות כשניסיתי לערוך את הקובץ), ואני מניח (כיוון שלא טרחתי לחפש בוויקי אלא הסתפקתי בזיהוי ה-URL), שכך גם בשאר הלוגואים שנמצאים בקומונז. בעבר שמתי לב שישנה חשדנות רבה מצד אדמינים בוויקיעברית כלפי ההגנה על קבצים בקומונז, מה גם שאם אני שם הגנה ברמת אדמין, אז רק לאדמינים בקומונז יש סמכות להעלות גירסה חדשה וכיוצא באלה, מה שעלול לסרבל קצת את העסק, אבל אני מניח שגם על כך ניתן להתגבר, כפי שעושים "בכל העולם".... קראתי כל מיני מאמרים בנושא, אחד הדברים ששמתי לב אליהם הוא שזכויות היוצרים מקשות בעיקר על מי שרוצה ללכת על פיהם (יותר מדי ביורוקרטיה)... נוסף על כך התרשמתי שדרור אבי מומחה בזכויות יוצרים --Yuval Y § Chat § 08:37, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

אני אחד מאלה שרוצים ללכת על פיהם, ולכן אני צריך עזרה בלהבין אותם. יש לי ים של שאלות, וגם הייתי רוצה לשכתב את הערך בויקיפדיה על זכויות יוצרים כך שיהיה אפשר להפנות לשם אנשים על שאלותיהם.

שאלות כרגע - זכויות היוצרים כיום מגנות עד 70 שנה לאחר מות היוצר. ממתי זה רלוונטי? למשל תמונות מלפני הקמת המדינה נראה לי שהיה חוק אחר, מהו? האם החוק שעבר בשנים האחרונות שינה משהו בהקשר הזה?

הייתי מצפה בסוף לסיכום כזה: "בין השנים 1900 ועד 1900 תמונות מוגנות למשך 00 שנים. החל משנה 1900 תמונות מוגנות למשך 70 שנה ממות היוצר".

Need help

How do I fix the issues with my images? I am the owner of said images, and am a part of the project it involves, as the software was created by my work place. What is the best way to remedy things without causing interruptions?

To release your images, send an official email to the OTRS team - as you can read in the Commons:OTRS. But I'd like to ask - why do you need all those images on commons? Are you sure you want to release all of them so everyone could use them however they want? If you want to make a guide, you have your web-page for that manner... If I were you, I'd simply upload an image or two - either as a fair use image specifically on the Wikipedia itself or as a free image on Commons (the logo can be upload to commons by everyone, since it fits into {{Pd-textlogo}}) and use all of the images in a user-guide on my web-page, since in one page, it won't look good anyways... --Yuval Y § Chat § 09:05, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Hello! The initial image on en:wiki had no valid source information. The size of the image, the small image resolution and the lack of EXIF data are indications for copyright violations. In addition the original uploader had only few contribs. It is the best that the image remains deleted but I point out as well that we can restore it if there are valid licence, author and source information.
