Hi, My name is Dennis Desmond and I am a long time semi professional photographer. I have photographs published in several books, online venues, and have active resale stores offering my products.
I earned my undergraduate degree at Oregon State University and studied non game wildlife enforcement and language studying Herpetology under Doctor Robert Storm. I have conducted extensive study on the various species of Hognose snakes (Heterodon, Leioheterodon, and Lystrophis) and published papers on envenomation by rear fanged colubrids. Ihave also had the pleasure to work with Trooper Walsh at the National Zoological Park and Dr. James Murphy, noted herpetologist and author.
My true love is hiking the world and photographing nature, especially reptiles and amphibians. I have traveled to over 30 countries and photographed hundreds of species from alligators to zebras.
Please note that I am not an employee of the Wikimedia foundation and my views are my own.
